So this week I began the Couch 2 5K program (www.c25k.com) in an attempt to get into shape and into a bikini! For 6 weeks straight, I will work that program and do 'detox' by only eating fruits, vegetables, and maybe one portion of organic meat per week. I'm also trying to go as natural as possible... I cut the perm out of my hair (wearing braids now) and am trying to use soaps and deodorants that are made from only pure ingredients. If I start smelling too funky, I'll change that up!
I begin wondering a few months ago about all of the chemicals that we put into our bodies and the effects they have on our systems... especially with fatigue, cancer, and other diseases being so prominent. My plan is to somehow monitor how I'm feeling and to see if I have more or less energy by the end of the 6 weeks. The tricky part is that school is out in 6 weeks and I always seem to find new energy then!
